Season 11 of ISL is starting today. Defending champions Mumbai City FC will take on ISL League Shield winners Mohun Bagan at the historic Salt Lake Stadium at 7.30 pm today.
This year the number of teams has gone up from 12 to 13. Mohammedan Sports Club has entered the ISL after being promoted from the I-League. That’s why Mohammedan SC got promoted to the ISL.
With the arrival of Mohammedan SC, now 3 teams from Kolkata will be seen playing, along with 6 Kolkata Derby matches. This is a matter of joy for Kolkata and also for all football fans.
On the other hand, NorthEast UNI will be playing this ISL with full confidence of winning the first title of their life, the Durand Cup.This year, three teams have changed their coaches – Mohun Bagan, Kerala Blasters and Punjab FC.Manolo Marquez, the manager of FC Goa, will lead the Indian team as well as FC Goa.
